The 2nd International Congress BioNanoMed 2010 in Krems/Austria was a huge success! In the field of Nanotechnology in combination with Biology and Medicine the community is clearly growing!
The hosts Dieter Falkenhagen, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Danube University Krems and Margit Malatschnig, Techkonnex - High-Tech Promotion had composed a very interesting program.
The key note speaker, Dr. Mauro Ferrari - president of the Alliance for NanoHealth and CEO of The Methodist Hospital Research Institute in Houston,TX – gave a very interesting and inspiring presentation about personalized Medicine enabled through Nanotechnology. Dr. Ferrari is a very visionary, internationally recognized expert in Nanomedicine and Biomedical Nanotechnology.
The panel discussions “The Future of Nanomedicine and the current status” (Organised by Kai Pinkernell, Miltenyi Biotec GmbH ) and “Where are the Products for Medical Application?” (Organised by Jörg Vienken, Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbH) were very lively and informative.
The oral presentations about Nanoparticles , Nanostructured Materials, Nanotoxicology and Synthetic Biology gave a perfect overview about latest developments!
The conference program was framed by an excellent poster session and exhibition booths.
